Here’s how the new Queen Sirikit Convention Center will look when it reopens next year.
The new convention center is expected to be at least five times larger than the original structure, with a capacity of more than 100,000 visitors at any given time.
Finally, the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center (QSNCC) will reopen. The midtown convention will reopen in September 2022, after closing for a massive head-to-toe renovation in 2019. QSNCC is also making a comeback as the country’s largest convention center, with a total space of 78,500 square meters—five times larger than the original structure—and the ability to accommodate up to 100,000 visitors per day, thanks to a massive renovation budget of 15 billion Baht.
According to the rendered images shared by N.C.C. Management & Development, the center’s management company, the new Queen Sirikit Center will feature a sleek, minimalist design with state-of-the-art meeting facilities, including two 45,000 sqm main exhibition halls, two 10,000 sqm conference halls, and 50 meeting rooms for multifaceted purposes, in addition to the 2,700 indoor parking spaces. QSNCC is expected to reopen with food halls and retail stores.
